Here’s the recap of the 4th Annual Aristoi Chess Tournament, held just this past Saturday—and what a tournament it was!
We had an amazing 102 entries, bringing in scholastic players from all around the region—including a strong showing from Aristoi’s own Katy and Cypress campuses. Our host school had a huge presence, and it was fantastic to see so many local players participating!
A major shoutout to Wharton Dual Language Academy, who brought over 25 students—an incredible 25% of the entire tournament field! Their team brought great energy and represented their school with pride.
We also welcomed T.H. Rogers Elementary and The Village School, two elite programs with impressive records at State and National events. Both schools continued their winning tradition by taking home top team awards at our tournament!
Several of my private and group lesson students competed and earned well-deserved recognition. A special mention to Shafer Elementary, where Foundation Chess launched a program nearly two years ago. Their team performed brilliantly and secured 3rd place in the Elementary Section.
🎉 Congratulations to all the players, teams, and schools that participated! And an enormous thank you to the coaches, parents, school staff, and our incredible team of tournament directors and volunteers—your support made this event a success.
📸 I’ll be sharing three photos from the event in the post, so stay tuned for that!
Coming up next: our May the 4th Be With You Chess Championship—a tournament for private, parochial, and homeschool players, held on Saturday, May 3rd. Don’t miss it!👉 Register here
