How to Analyze Your Games Without using an Engine

Please check out the pdf above. This is my analysis of one of my recent online games. I was careful to write down my thoughts using ChessBase 15 while they were still fresh. I only wrote down the thoughts and lines I was thinking during the game. When I added extra thoughts that I realized after the game, I wrote "PM:" followed by my new thoughts. Later, I will finished writing my post mortem thoughts and share this game with my coach. Only after this deep analysis will I use an engine to check my work. It's not just my advice, but other coaches have advised that when you don't spoon-feed yourself the answers with a chess engine, you will become much stronger as you will remember your mistakes and patterns better when you struggle hard to find out the truth of your moves on your own.
