• Checkmates Chess Club, Katy TX - a great place to play chess in Katy! Find them on Facebook. They meet two Tuesdays every month and it's a great opportunity to meet friends and to find a casual place to play chess.

• Katy Social Chess in the Park - This is a new addition. I'm excited to visit Arjun Reddy and the people who meet here on Saturday mornings! 

• Best Kids Academy & Famewell School - We have been honored to host our chess classes at these locations. Please check them out if you are interested in after care in Katy or Sugar Land. 

• Mr. Liptrap's Schedule of Tournaments and Chess Events - Mr. Liptrap has meticulously curated all the chess events and tournaments around Houston. He provides links to other coaches and programs as well. His work is invaluable.

• The Chess Refinery - Houston's premier chess organization. They organize local casual events all over Houston and Katy. They just recently started some blitz tournaments. They also host giant rated "classical" tournaments too. 

• Houston Chess Studio (aka Poison Pawns Chess Club) - They run monthly rated tournaments. They are Houston's brick and mortar chess club! They just are about to expand to host even bigger tournaments. A great place to check out.

• John Hendrick's YouTube channel - I aim to make monthly chess content!

• Fort Bend Chess Club - Friday evening chess tournaments and weekend chess classes!
